TRW Feast Days ENPUB

In the Soviet Union, state holidays were taken very seriously. The anniversary of the Great Socialist October Revolution on November 7 and the Day of International Workers’ Solidarity, May 1, were celebrated by the entire country. 

There were also secret holidays – Easter, Christmas. They were celebrated more by women; the older, the less they hid it. Old women have nothing to fear. They could give a little coloured-red egg to a friendly neighbour or child, sharing the joy and sowing a little seed. Perhaps in 20 years, a sprout of faith will spring up in a young heart.
