Carreira, S.J., is an authoritative voice in science and physics: he was Professor of Philosophy of nature at the Comillas University in Madrid and of Physics and Astronomy in Washington and Cleveland (US). He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Vatican Specula for 15 years.
