The Murder of fr. Aleksandr Men

On September 9, 1990, murderers - until today unknown - killed Father Aleksandr Men, striking his head with a sharp instrument. Was it a consequence of the fact that he was considered a primary danger by the communist authorities?
This tragic event is explored in this video clip thanks to interviews to people very close to him: the brother Pavel, Chairman of the Aleksandr Men Foundation, Mather Mary, a spiritual daughter of fr. Men, one of the first to see his body in a pool of blood, archpriest Aleksandr Borisov, a close friend of him who is actually the guide of this community.

Father Aleksandr was 20 years old when he wrote his first book “The Son of Man”. It was dangerous back then to write religious books, so it was printed anonymously. Somehow this book got abroad. Aleksandr didn’t know about it. He was really surprised to see his book published by “Life with God” in Brussels. Aleksandr Men was given the pseudonym Andrei Bogolyubov.
